Stick with the image

“Our dreams recover what the world forgets” (James Hillman, Animal Presences)
Yesterday I pointed to James Hillman’s instructions to ‘stick with the image’. These are words I write in my journal almost daily – to remind my self, as I write my dreams, to resist the temptation to interpret and to let them stand for themselves.
I’ve started so many posts with a Hillman quote, so I’ll point you to some of my favourite scribbles on dreams, symbols, alchemy and myths:
Neptune Dreaming – why we should write our dreams down
Saturnine Staying Power – the senex archetype
Bibliomancy for a still-crowded sky – the trickster archetype
Small tasks and great work – the alchemy of daily tasks
Laughter and power – breakthroughs are hilarious, obviously.
